Weekend Update

Over the weekend, we worked hard, but didn't quite make the progress we were striving for.

Saturday morning Ted went hunting for the first time! He crossed paths with a nice sized buck in the back, but it slipped away. Still, he got a few shots in and had some fun.

I've been quite enamoured with the smell of fresh air in our laundry and have kept the new washer running as quickly as the line comes dry.

Later that afternoon, we brought in the couch, set up a little bit of a living room. We picked away at the kitchen all day, getting very close to countertop time.

Saturday evening we headed back to Summit county to check out Paul's fireworks show at the Ciderfest! Wow! They are likely to raise local taxes that was such an AMAZING show! Disney World has nothing on ya! :)

Following the fireworks, we entered the most daring portion of the weekend... we moved Wookie to the cabin!

He seems to really enjoy his new home!

Sunday we worked on the kitchen a bit more, started sealing upthe exterior a bit where the bees had given us such trouble, and attempted to install the new second floor toilet. Halfway through the process, we came to realize that an elongated bowl would not allow for the door to shut. We will swap the potty this afternoon, hopefully have an operational variety tomorrow.

Here are a couple shots of the kitchen, as it stands. We still need to run water to the fridge ice maker and the dish washer.., but we are almost there. Tonight we will be in Summit County loading up the trees we purchased a few months back... and some other goodies!
