It has been a bit since we posted an update, though things haven't slowed much at the Chalet.
Ted did a wonderful job sealing up the barn a few weeks back. The bulk of the birds (former tenants) have relocated already. We picked up a fake owl to help deter them from returning, as well.
The man of the house has also been busy 'customizing' his tractor. He added LED headlights and a tail light, to help with twilight plowing:
They are rather bright! ;)
The tractor has already proven to be a wonderful asset to the farm. In the weeks ahead, we hope to find a brush hog to help keep things tidy next spring/summer.
We made a family run to the hardware this evening to prompt our imaginations on a few more projects.
We looked again at our options for a kitsch back splash and returned to the material we first liked, though a different color:
This option is darker, but also reflective of the light. We will see what the morning sun brings, but so far we believe it may be a win!
Ted has also started to prepare a section of the barn for use as his shop. By localizing all his tool in one area and relocating the construction noise to the barn, he hopes to be more productive and less encumbered by Honey Bear's sleep schedule.
While at the hardware we also picked up a few tile samples for the upstairs bathroom floor. Have a glance and let us know if something strikes you:
We had a fair amount of snow today and tomorrow promises more of the same. Cozy days are here!
Hope you and yours keep warm!
