In an effort to make the cabin more resistant to the elements, Ted worked hard this winter to seal leaks and weatherproof as best we could.
In the week ahead, we plan to participate in a program offered by the energy company. They will essentially 'audit' the house to see where we can improve our energy usage.
In conjunction with our research on solar and wind options, we are exploring geothermal as a heat source.
Should we opt for geothermal, we will likely push garage construction out a year, the addition a bit further. Only time will tell, but we are trying to sequence our improvements in an intelligent sequence... Though it would be great to have everything done yesterday ;)
