When the weather broke in the Spring, the Husband and I set a goal of creating a 'parent escape' in the backyard. Date night just doesn't sound quite so appealing right now, unless star gazing and listening to crickets is on the agenda.
We have high hopes of creating a kick*** stone fire pit, but the location of this awesomeness is something that we have struggled to hammer down. Perhaps next year, after the back deck is in place, the remaining components will come together. For the time being, a movable, temporary pit seemed like the best solution.
We added to this, a pair of Adirondack chairs purchased a year and a half ago that had yet to be assembled and stained.
AA was a huge help in the chair assembly process, as you can see. The Bear was instrumental, as well... he took a nice nap so that we could wrap the job in one afternoon!
Bring on quite evenings in the back yard!
