A Little Metal

We have a lot of wood in our home. A lot. And while wood is lovely, wood is natural, wood is durable and toddler tolerant, it is also quite an absorber of light. Dare I say a sunshine sponge? Perhaps that is a bit dramatic,  as sunshine often fills our days and pours into our windows. Nonetheless, we live in an area of the country that is well known for cloud covered grey days and we actively seek to off set this haze both in our home and out of it. To this, we've toyed with the notion of reflective surfaces in the home.  Today, we stuck our toe in the water of corrugated steal, and I think I like it! If time allows, we are going to add some corrugated steal to the ceiling in this bathroom, as well.  We plan to keep beams exposed and to add softer touches such as lavender bouquets to balance the industrial vibe.
