Big Day for a Little Cabin

Last evening I spent a little time wondering how I became one of 'those' people - someone who gets excited about counter tops... then it dawned on me... I have never seen our home with a kitchen before. Also, my absolutely favorite little brother was delivering and installing our countertops, which made it extra special!!!!!!

We are presently undecided on stools, so we dug out the set from our old house for the time being. Not too shabby!!! The trim work and backsplash are in the mix.

The cabinets were contributed (THANK YOU, DAD!) and constructed, the appliances were all from craigslist, and the countertops came in at a family discount. Without such kindness, we would be eating from a crockpot for another year. :)
